How to adapt your HVAC business to online shopping

When you're looking for a good restaurant, you look online for one that's close to you and has great reviews. When people search for an HVAC company, they're doing the same. They compare prices and reputations. That's why you must adapt your HVAC business to online shoppers.

Build your reputation

The good thing about the Internet is that you have a say in your reputation. Register your business on review sites like Yelp and Yellow Pages. While you may not be able to control the reviews that people write, by being a registered business, you show you're actively participating in the review process by making company information readily available.

Optimize your website

Women are the key decision makers, and we need to know how to talk to them. Your website needs to cater to their needs. Most women juggle a family, a home, and a to-do list a mile long, so trying to find the right HVAC product shouldn't have to be a hassle. On your website, make your products easy to find, highlight the search bar feature, and make pricing simple.

Use social media

I've talked about what social media can tell you about a job applicant. But people also look to social media to tell them about companies. Create a company page on appropriate platforms like Facebook. Include your business hours, contact information, and throw out a few updates. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, but it should let people know you're present and available.
